Free Verse The best things in life...
|

Free Verse started in 1972 and has existed in some form or other since then.
In its long history, Free Verse has played over 3,000 gigs! In the 1970s
Free Verse was a Chicago and Santana tribute band out of Chicagoland. In
the 1980s it became a full-time Top-40 nightclub band traveling throughout
the Midwest. In the 1990s Free Verse became a pure originals-recording
band. In the new Millennium Free Verse has become an internet-based band.
Nowadays Albert "Al" Mora keeps the Free Verse spirit alive mostly by
himself. He also has done quite a bit of recording and performing with his
13-year-old daughter Samantha Mora.
Samantha started singing before she could speak. She has performed in many
school and community plays, talent shows, and recitals. She also studies
dance, guitar, and piano. Her dream is to become an author and a musical
artist.
Al has performed, written, and recorded music for over 30-years. His
musical dream is for all his children to grow up creating and performing
beautiful music.
One special Free Verse friend is Emilio Nieto. Emilio is a legend in Chicago,
where his voice has been heard daily by commuters in train stations for over
20 years. Emilio and Al grew up on the same block in East Chicago, Indiana.
Emilio started playing guitar at an early age and taught 14-year-old Al his
first guitar chords. Click on the Emilio Nieto button on the navigator bar on
